1858 $2 The Bank of the State of Georgia note from Savannah, GA.

This bank operated from 1815 until the 1860's and had many different branches. This example was redeemable at the Branch Bank at Augusta.

This attractive note features a detailed Vignette of Commerce and Ceres flanking a large shield with State Seals around it. On the right is a Vignette of Justice seated inside a fancy "2". The reverse is printed with a large red "TWO" block!

This note grades Very Good with rough edges, some pinholes, and a small break / hole at the center.
