Patterson Iron Works and Jackson & Co. participated in the construction of the CSS Mississippi. The large, ironclad ship was designed to defend the lower Mississippi River from Union naval forces. She was launched only partially finished and was ultimately burned to keep her from falling into enemy hands.

This note grades Very Good. It's printed on rough brown paper with internal breaks / splits and edge tears.
