This note features a Vignette of a farmer tending to a couple horses above a bold "TWO" protector in green. These notes were printed by A. Malus of New Orleans until the fall of New Orleans in April, 1862.
Although datelined Jefferson City, these notes were issued from a different location as the government attempted to stay out of Union hands.
This Civil War era note grades a nice Very Fine.
