1863 $1 The Bank of Fulton note from Atlanta, Georgia.

This note with dark red overprints features a Vignette of Liberty on the left and a large sidewheeler on the upper right. 

This note is signed by Cashier Alfred Austell who was a brigadier general in the Georgia State militia. After the Civil War, he established the Atlanta National Bank, charter number 1559, one of the first National Banks in the South East. After several mergers throughout the years, the bank currently is part of Wells Fargo. 

This Civil War era note grades Fine+. 

It measures ~ 6.25" x 2.75".
