This note from the American Civil War was printed by the North Carolina Institute for the Deaf & Dumb. 

On the far left is a Vignette of a maiden standing by a column. At the center, a dog guards a strongbox and key, representing Fidelity. Printed on the reverse of unused bank notes with a "ONE DOLLAR" protector added to the back in red!

This note grades Fine+ with pinholes / tiny holes and edge nicks. 

It measures ~ 5.8" x 2.75".
